SURF & YOGA RETREAT


Join us for 7 days of deep-diving into Yoga and Surfing on the beautiful southern coast of Sri Lanka. An exclusive community retreat to explore the island lifestyle.

The Daily Rhythm:

You will wake to an early morning yoga and meditation practice with Rosie. Set the tone for the day, open your body and connect to your breath.

After practice, enjoy your choice of three homemade breakfast smoothies (peanut butter and date/tropical/cacao) with the option to add vegan protein powder. 

After practice, grab a quick bite (coconut roti with banana and PB, energy balls, fresh mango and papaya or overnight oats).

You’ll find the tuktuk’s waiting outside to take you to the beach for a surf lesson with our expert instructor Rash and an assistant coach. 

Catch some waves, then come back to shower and eat a delicious biiiig brunch spread: topped sourdough, smoothie bowls, pancakes, roti, chia pudding, hoppers, fresh salads, bliss balls, banana bread and more.

Afternoons are a mix of deep-diving into learning and being a student and relaxing; Surf theory, pool sessions & video analysis (we will of course share these videos with you to show your friends and family back home just how epic your surfing is!)

On days where there’s no afternoon session, you will have free time to explore our favourite local island hangouts (the best coffee shops!) Or maybe relaxing with a book by the pool or heading back to the beach.

Finally, we’ll close the day with an evening practice (yin, yoga nidra, journaling, breathwork, meditation) and a hearty dinner. Ready to rest in the comfy beds, to go again the next day.

This one’s close to the heart because we’re welcoming you to our island home. To our favourite surf breaks, the coconut stands run by smiling uncles and the slow, sun-drenched rhythms we live by.

It’s soft mornings to ground ourselves and open our bodies with movement + breath, salty skin and surfboards under arm. Warm dhaal, the freshest, juiciest mango, coconut everything and the kind of slow magic that only happens here.

We’ll stay in a tucked-away, colonial villa in Weligama. There’s a pool for post-surf floats and loungers for sunbathing, comfy, spacious, private and shared rooms and space to breathe and find the true meaning of flow-state and presence in all directions. 

Intentional, Thorough and Progressive

This isn’t just a surf camp with a stretch and mobility class, or a yoga retreat with an hour or two lying on the board more than than you do surf. It’s both yoga and surf instruction held with care, intention and real depth with people who know their stuff.
The yoga is spacious, breath-led, weaving in ancient practices, philosophy and intentional depth. 
The surf is supported, progressive and tailored to where you’re at, with space to really grow during the week.
We’ve created space for you to drop-in (just not on each other) fully to the practice and the play. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between high quality surf instruction and depth of yoga practice.
You get to have both.

On this retreat you will be provided with delicious plant-based, nutritionally dense whole foods, and smoothies prepared by our wonderful private chef.  Allergens can be catered for, please let me know when booking.

Retreat Schedule:

(please note this is a rough outline and may change!)

Arrival Day – Monday

From 5pm: Check in, settle into your room, refresh
6:00pm: Welcome circle, intention-setting & grounding meditation. Surf introduction. 
7:30pm: First dinner together: nourishing, vibrant and full of flavour

Tuesday-Saturday

Upon waking: Herbal tea or coffee
6:30am: Meditation + Breathwork with Rosie
Set the tone for the day and land in your breath
7am: Pre-surf light bite: Coconut roti with banana and PB, energy balls, fresh mango and papaya or overnight oats
7:20am Tuktuk pickup to the beach for Surf lesson with Rash + assistant coach
9:45am: Big, nourishing brunch spread back at the villa
11am: Yoga Āsana practice with Rosie
12pm: Surf workshop: On-land training, theory, pool session, video analysis
1:30pm Free time to explore/chill
6pm: Sunset restorative practice: Yin Yoga, breathwork, journaling or meditation 
7pm: Delicious, homemade dinner

Departure Day – Sunday

8am: Final practice and closing circle
10am: Farewell brunch
11am: Check out + hugs

Sleeping Arrangements + Pricing

We have a variety of accommodation options on this retreat. Suite, Private & Shared. Each room has it’s own attached bathroom.

If you share a double bed with a friend or partner you can take £100 off the price per person.

  • Sunbeam: (1 x double bed + 1 x bunk bed)  Double: £750pp, Bunks £700pp.
  • Coconut: (1 x single bed) £850pp
  • Ocean: (1 x double bed) £950pp
  • Jasmine: (1 x double bed) £950pp
  • Palm: (penthouse): (1 x double bed)  A little luxury, a lot of calm. Ensuite, big bath tub, best for couples or solo guests seeking space. £1150pp

  • Travel insurance – compulsory to join the retreat
Terms and Conditions

– A £350 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.
– The remaining balance is due in instalments with the final payment due 60 days prior to the retreat.
– You may transfer to another guest subject to approval.
– You agree to purchase travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, delays, illness, injuries, medical care and any unforeseen circumstances.
– All guests must have their own travel insurance to attend.
– This retreat is open to all levels, but some yoga experience is recommended to get the most out of the week.
– By booking, you agree to respect the shared spaces, instructors, fellow guests and the schedule, and to show up with kindness, compassion and curiosity.
